When the more than 100 thousand fans gather for the “Greatest two minutes in Sport”, not all eyes will be on the thoroughbreds, many will be gazing at the fashion statements made by both women and men.

Here on a few tips for that first Saturday in May:

For the ladies, coordinating your dress, pantsuits or rompers with your hat is essential. Staying with colorful, light and breezy such as linens or cottons you won’t go wrong. Hats are the order of the day! Going with a wide brim “Southern Belle” look will only add to your elegance and style.

For the men accompanying the ‘Belles”, seersucker is always a winner along with pastels and colorful ties to accentuate your coats and jackets.

Whatever your wardrobe decision will be, wear it with comfort and confidence to enhance your Kentucky Derby experience. Good Luck !!!

Added treat, the Ladies of the Gretna Jockey Club have served up their selections for the 148th Running of the Kentucky Derby.
