A field of nine three-year-old fillies, six of which exit the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks, are set to do battle again in the now Grade 1 Acorn Stakes run over the Saratoga main track at a mile and one-eigth. Rainy conditions no longer look to be an issue so may the best win.

SARATOGA

Race 12) 1 1/8 Miles Dirt. Purse $500,000. DK Horse Acorn S. Grade 1 FOR FILLIES, THREE-YEARS-OLDPost Time (06:40PM EDT)

9) Thorpedo Anna (McPeek/Hernandez, B. Jr); Kentucky Oaks champ squares off once again to five of her Oaks challengers, whom she dispatched in gate-to-wire fashion; little has changed from that contest and she’ll prove to be the best of her sophomore class her.

Just F Y I (Mott/Alvarado); Kentucky Oaks post time favorite got the perfect trip only to prove she was second best; think that;s the best to hope for in this.

6) Where’s My Ring (Brinkerhoff/Gaffalione); winner of the Grade 3 Gazelle two back offered little resistence in the Oaks, she’ll rebound for a share.

8) Gun Song (Hennig/Velazquez); Black Eyed Susan victor has had enough rest since that win 3 weeks ago and with HOF jock Johnny V in the irons, never discount.
