Friday Juvenile Races

Race 6) – Juvenile Turf Sprint

Impossible to handicap with little info on colts and fillies from three continents. Probably have to go 8-10 deep in any multi-race wager.

Likely Winner(s); 2 Aesterius (9-2), G2 and G3 winner has beaten and been beaten by others in this field; 3 Big Mojo (4-1), split two decision with Aesterius; 8 Ecoro Sieg (7-2) Kentucky-bred winner of two lifetime starts in Japan in eye-popping manner.

Dangerous Contender(s): 7 Whistlejacket (5-1), G1 winner in France trained by A. O’Brien and ridden by R.Moore would be gift at ML odds; 10 Governor Sam (12-1), best of the U.S. group and true live longshot

Others to Include: 4 Magnum Force (15-1), could earn a piece and has kept good company; 5 Arizona Blaze (15-1), has competed well in tough company in Ireland; 9 Shareholder (12-1), G2 winner is G1 placed in France; 12 Ides of March (8-1), G3 winner in Ireland with O’Brien-Dettori connections.

Race 7) — Juvenile Filly

Likely Winner(s): 3 Immersive (3-1), undefeated in three starts for
Brad Cox with two G1 wins; 10 Scottish Lassie (5-2), Won G1 Frizette as a maiden by nine lengths

Dangerous Contender(s): 7 Non Compliant (9-2), undefeated Baffert filly owns win on DMR track; 9 American Bikini (5-1), daughter of American Pharoah owns two wins in Japan and tries two turns for first time.

Others to Include: 5 Quickick (10-1), defeated Scottish Lassie in MSW and second to Immersive in G! Alcibiades.

Race 8 – Juvenile Filly Turf

Likely Winner(s): 1 Lake Victoria (8-5), undefeated dual G1 winner will be a single on many tickets;

Dangerous Contender(s): 7 Thought Process (5-2), trained by top West Coast turf handler Phil D’Amato she owns two wins at DMR

Others to Include: 4 Scythian (12-1), winner of G2 for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, 5 Totally Justified (20-1), a true gift at ML odds of 20-1; 8 Heaven’s Gate (12-1), O’Brien’s other entry; 12 May Day Ready, another gift at 20-1.

Race 9 – Juvenile

Likely Winner(s): 1 East Avenue (5-2), romped at KEE in G1 Futurity posting 95 Beyer fig; 10 Chancer McPatrick (3-1), undefeated winner of the G1 Hopeful and G1 Champagne is a deep closer on a track that is not very kind to those types.

Dangerous Contender(s): 4 Ferocious (6-1), burst on the scene in grand style maiden win, but beaten twice since then; 5 Jonathan’s Way (9-2), very fast colt goes two turn for first time.

Others to Include: 7 Gaming (8-1), Baffert trainee owns two wins at DMR but his figs are a little light in this group. 8 Shin Believe (10-1), connections are obviously high on this son of Constitution as they ship him across the Pacific for his first start against winners in this G1 affair.

Race 10 – BC Juvenile Turf

Likely Winner(s): 4 Al Qudra (4-1), Appleby runner was second to New Century last out in G1 at Woodbine; 11 New Century (5-2), won G1 Summer at Woodbine and keeps top rider aboard; 13 Henri Matisse (6-1), O’Brien entry is G1 placed at Longchamp and Curragh and a G2 winner to boot.

Dangerous Contender(s): 5 Zulu Kingdom (8-1), Brown-Prat connection is a winning one for this undefeated colt owned by BC-winning connections.

Others to Include: 2 Dream On (20-1), very competitive with top Euros one back at Woodbine, gets rider upgrade and generous odds as well; 12 Aomori City (10-1), G2 winner for Appleby-Buick-Godolphin connections.
