HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 79th running of the $415,000 Coolmore Fountain of Youth (G2), a major prep for the $1 million Curlin Florida Derby (G1) and Kentucky Derby (G1), highlights what is sure to be a memorable weekend at Gulfstream Park that will include:


Nine stakes Saturday, eight graded, worth $2.15 million in purses with eight turf races
All-stakes Late Pick 5 and Late Pick 4 pools estimated up to $1.5 million Saturday
An all-stakes Rainbow 6 pool Saturday estimated at $1 million
A mandatory Rainbow 6 payout Sunday estimated at $4 million
Saturday and Sunday featuring 13 turf races and 11 races on the main track

The Coolmore Fountain of Youth will feature Holy Bull (G3) winner Burnham Square and six others while the $215,000 Fasig-Tipton Davona Dale (G2), a major prep for the $265,000 Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) and Kentucky Oaks (G1), drew a field of 10 including multiple stakes winner Mi Bago and debut winner Emergence.

First race post is 11:30 a.m. Fountain of Youth Day.

Saturday’s Early Pick 5 pool is estimated to be $1 million, the Late Pick 5 $1.5 million, and the Late Pick 4 $750,000. The Late Pick 4,5 and 20-cent Rainbow 6 will be all-stakes races, including the Fountain of Youth.

There will also be an all-stakes Coast-to-Coast Pick 5 Saturday featuring races from Gulfstream and Santa Anita Park with an estimated pool of $300,000

If the Rainbow 6 isn’t hit Wednesday through Saturday by a single, unique ticket, the pool of the mandatory payout Sunday is estimated at $4 million.
