Also making her first start since a Breeders’ Cup run is Newtown Anner Stud’s Praying. Trained by Robbie Medina, Praying won the Thoroughbred Club of America (G2) here last fall before a seventh-place finish in the PNC Bank Breeders’ Cup Filly and & Mare Sprint (G1).

Joel Rosario has the mount from post 7.

BEAR RIVER TOPS DEEP VALVOLINE GLOBAL SHAKERTOWN FIELD

Charles Marquis’ Bear River, winner of the Kentucky Mint Turf Sprint (G2) at Kentucky Downs, heads a deep field of 12 plus two also-eligibles for Saturday’s 30th running of the $400,000 Valvoline Global Shakertown (G2) for 3-year-olds and up going 5 ½ furlongs in the grass.

The Valvoline Global Shakertown will go as the afternoon’s 10th race with a 5:49 p.m. ET post time.
