Br> Jockey Flavien Prat was all smiles aboard Nysos after winning the Grade 1 Hill ‘N’ Dale Metropolitan Handicap at Saratoga on June 6. Nysos, a 5-year-old son of Nyquist, began 2026 with a strong runner up finish to Forever Young (Jpn) in the G1 Saudi Cup. Trainer Bob Baffert has mentioned the G1 Whitney Stakes at Saratoga as the possible third start of the year for the winner of 8 of 10 lifetime starts and earner of more than $5.2 million. NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll – July 13, 2026

Week 25 of the 2026 NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll conducted by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), covering racing performances through July 12. Voting is conducted by national media.

The Three-Year-Old poll represents horses competing up and through the Triple Crown.

The Top Thoroughbred poll represents horses competing for Horse of the Year. The Top Thoroughbred Poll concludes on Tuesday, November 3 following the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Rankings on poll are on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-1 basis with first place votes in parentheses, 2026 record and total points. A-S: Age-Sex, Sex: C-colt, G-gelding, H-horse, F-filly, M-mare, R-ridgling.
