Thursday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Rises to $133,335
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved Wednesday for the seventh consecutive program, leaving a $133,335.44 carryover jackpot for Thursday’s program.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The popular multi-race wager was last solved April 15, when a single ticket was worth a jackpot payoff of $77,343.16.
Thursday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 3-8.

All Included Seeks Graded-Stakes Repeat in Saturday’s G3 Miami Mile
Hall of Famer Elect Javier Castellano Slated to Ride Pletcher Trainee
While other Todd Pletcher-trained graded-stakes winners have been shipping north in recent weeks, Wertheimer and Frere’s All Included has remained in training at Palm Beach Downs in preparation for a start in Saturday’s $100,000 Miami Mile (G3) at Gulfstream Park.
“He seems to love Gulfstream Park, so we’ll stick to it,” said Pletcher, whose 6-year-old son of Include is scheduled to face five rivals (not including a main-track-only entrant) in the mile turf event.
Jockey Javier Castellano, newly elected to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, is scheduled to return to Gulfstream Park Saturday to ride All Included, as well as Liberty Kitten in the co-featured $100,000 Powder Break.
All Included, who finished third in the Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap (G1) the past two years, is coming off a late-closing victory in the Appleton (G3) on the undercard of the April 1 Xpressbet.com Florida Derby (G1), won by the Pletcher-trained Always Dreaming. All Included settled off a solid pace in the mile Appleton before launching a six-wide attack on the turn into the homestretch and prevailing by a half-length over Delta Prince, the half-brother to champion Royal Delta.
“He was heavily favored that day off a pretty strong performance in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap before that,” said Pletcher, whose trainee was placed second by disqualification of the runner-up in the Gulfstream Turf “I was a little concerned about the pace scenario in the race and the way the turf course was playing, but Javier rode him very confidently and he kicked in the way we thought he would.”
Pletcher also entered Zulu as a main-track only participant should the Miami Mile be taken off the turf course.
William Clifton Jr.’s Our Way, who finished third behind All Included in the Appleton, is slated to return in the Miami Mile. The 4-year-old gelding raced evenly to finish 1 ½ lengths behind All Included and a length behind Delta Prince.
“I don’t know what happened the last 70 yards, last sixteenth of a mile, but Johnny (Velazquez) dropped the reins a few times on the outside,” trainer James Bond said. “Everyone has little things that go wrong. I don’t think it helped, because we were on the outside and all of a sudden we were diving down to the inside. It was strange, the whole thing. Johnny is one of the best. I don’t know what happened – if it was horse error or jockey error – but it didn’t work out.”
Our Way had previously won the Sunshine Millions Turf at Gulfstream Park in his 2017 debut.
“Johnny rode a fantastic race. He had him in good position. I don’t think he could have had a better trip,” Bond said. “He’s an honest horse who likes to rattle his feet on a firm turf course. A mile is right up his alley. I’m just hoping for a little luck. If we have some luck, he’ll be right there.”
The son of Tizway, who had won back-to-back races at Saratoga prior to concluding his 2016 season with a subpar showing over a soft Belmont course, is scheduled to be ridden by Nik Juarez.
“Our horse is doing great. He hasn’t missed a beat, and hopefully he can make amends for his last race,” Bond said.
Trainer Christophe Clement entered a pair to turf veterans in the Miami Mile: War Correspondent, who finished fourth and was placed third in the Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap last time out; and Lubash, the New York-bred winner of nearly $1.5 million who has yet to race in 2017.
The 7-year-old War Correspondent had finished third in the 2016 Gulfstream Park Turf before capturing last year’s Appleton. Tyler Gaffalione has the mount aboard the son of War Front, who is owned by Calumet Farm, Sagamore Farm and Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners.
The 10-year-old Lubash has won 18 career races, including multiple stakes, including the Tropical Turf Handicap (G3) at Gulfstream Park West by the disqualification of the first-place finish in his 2016 finale. Luca Panici has the mount aboard Aliju Ben J. Stables’ son of Freud.
Diamond Bachelor, a two-time stakes winner at Gulfstream last year for owners Diamond 100 Racing Club, Robert Trussell and trainer Patrick Biancone; and Olympia Star, Inc.’s Applicator, a stakes winner over the Gulfstream turf last year, round out the field.
