RACE 9), 5½ Furlongs. (Turf) Smart N Fancy S. Purse $100,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD

Post Time: ( 5:40)/ 4:40/ 3:40/ 2:40

Paquita Coqueta (1), after setting quick but sensibly fast fractions, she faded badly here in the Caress; better on the Santa Anita hill.

Rumble Doll (2), though she’s been winless in her last eleven starts, Street Boss 6-year-old finds her way onto the board; owns two wins and four thirds from six starts here.

Wheatfield (3), placed in her most “recent” turf start, last February at Fair Grounds; should stick to the main.

Miss Ella (4), 5-year-old by Exchange Rate exits a last to first win in the Caress; missed by a head in this contest a year ago; formidable.

Chanteline (5), Johnny V gets the call today on this mare by Majesticperfection, who makes her turf debut; always forwardly placed, they’ll have to run her down.

Ginger N Rye (6), More Than Ready 5-year-old’s win here facing OC’s at today’s route posted a winning time, that if repeated will mean trouble for this field.

Miss Katie Mae (7), enters having placed in her last two, the latter against ‘Ginger; will need a similar pace scenario to threaten.

Fair Point (8),
owns a first and second here, her place effort coming in the Caress; connections want a win badly for this girl, expect all-out try.

Pretty Perfection (9), owns five turf wins, all at or about this distance; Albarado takes the reins.

Ava’s Kitten (10), a neck winner here facing OC80K’s, her second Spa win; think she needs longer but don’t ignore with these connections.

Ultimate Holiday (11), forwardly placed; she faded in her last at a mile; the cut back and rest make her dangerous at a price.

Carolina Shag (12), showed in the Caress, her seventh board finish in seven attempts at today’s route; that effort keeps her in the mix.

Selections : 4, 12, 10, 6
