TRINITY, Fla. – Paladin reserved a spot in the starting gate on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs when he won the Risen Star at Fairgrounds on Feb. 14. The son of Gun Runner picked up 50 points with the win and now has 60 points toward a start in the Kentucky Derby.
The Fairgrounds track was playing to speed all day and that made it difficult for Golden Tempo to make up any ground down the stretch once he got rolling late.
I will list the horse, sire, most recent race it was in and the trainer.
